Commercial Bank PLC is the benchmark private sector bank in Sri Lanka with a record of 86 years of unparalleled growth and achievement. With more than 2.5 million customers, today it records a number of awards and accolades for its outstanding performance as a bank with the widest island wide coverage, multitude of financial services for both personal and businesses and the latest facilities such as online banking, phone banking, international banking and so much more.

Scope& Requirement

The website was created with a view to support the bank’s visionary aspiration of being South Asia’s Best bank that provides reliable, innovative, and customer friendly financial services using cutting edge technology. The bank required a site that would cross sell its services, promote online banking, increase online marketing channels, reduce telephone support, help/assist clients, provide live data to users, provide a CSR and investor relations portal. Pyxle was selected, after a 1 year evaluation process, for the project based on the high technology product offering and client support services.

Pyxle solution

Pyxle studied the online expectations and requirement of Commercial Bank over a 3 month period before finalizing the SRS. In this way; all departments such as IT, marketing, sales and branch managers could convey their own needs of the web portal. Based on this extensive study; Pyxle proposed, built and delivered an extensive CMS based web portal that is readily customizable, modular, highly secured and carried all the applications and tools as required by the client. The site was supported by wide use of media such as presentations, video, images and flash components together with WEB 2.0 social media integration.
